We know that school supply shopping can be exciting! Here are a few helpful tips to keep in mind: 1. Years of experience has shown us that LESS is better! For many children, this will be their first opportunity to organize and manage a pencil and crayon box. Students will be more successful when they have only the basic supplies they will need. 2. Teachers will provide each student with a pencil box. 3. Many item s from the above list will be grouped together for community classroom use and replenishment throughout the year. 4. First Graders do not need pens, highlighters, rulers, scissors or personal pencil sharpeners. Please do not send novelty erasers or other items that could be distracting or used as playthings. 5.
